can I register for the automated bill payment service?
You can sign up at any of T&TEC’s 14 Service Centres.
How
can I register for the service if I live overseas?
You may initiate the registration process by emailing your
interest to billingenquiries@ttec.co.tt.
What
documents will I need to register?
You will need your account number, your credit card and one
valid photo ID (You will be required to sign a contract with
T&TEC, authorising the Commission to deduct payments,
as agreed.)
Which
credit card can I use?
You can register any Visa or MasterCard credit card to be
used with this service.
How
can I be sure that my card information is secure?
T&TEC has implemented a system that will mask your credit
card information as soon as it is entered on the system. Your
card will be within your sight at all times during the registration
process.
Will
I be able to earn my card rewards if I use this service?
Yes you will, based on the reward programme you have with
your bank.
How long is the contract for the automated bill payment service?
The contract is valid until the customer requests the termination
of the contract or the T&TEC account becomes inactive.
Are
there any penalties for breaking the contract/ can I opt out
at any time?
There are no penalties for breaking the contract. The customer
can opt out at any time.
How
can I opt out of the service?
The customer will be required to visit a T&TEC Service
Centre with a valid form of photo identification and complete
the Automated Credit Card Payment Facility Cancellation Request
Form.
How
can I change which credit card I use for this service?
The customer will be required to visit a T&TEC Service
Centre with a valid form of photo identification and request
an update to the agreement. The current agreement will be
cancelled and a new agreement created.
Can
my credit card deduction ever be refused?
Your deduction cannot be refused unless you have reached your
card limit at the time of deduction.
What
happens if my credit card expires during the contract period?
The customer will be required to visit a Service Centre to
have the expiry date updated or call the Interactive Voice
Response System (IVR System) and select the option for updating
the expiry date of the credit card.
Will
I be disconnected if the deduction is not made on time?
If T&TEC is authorised to deduct the value of the bill
in each instance, the customer will be exempted from disconnection
if the deduction was not made on time.
What
happens if the predetermined payment amount is more than my
actual bill?
If the predetermined amount is more than the actual bill,
a credit for the difference will accrue on the bill. You may
request a refund for the credited amount, in writing.
Can
I change the predetermined amount to be paid to the bill?
Yes, the customer can cancel the current agreement and create
a new agreement with the revised figure
